The Challenge
When living in a city, it’s easy to get lost in the busy traffic. While most people possess some innate desire to explore the local community, it’s challenging to know where to begin.
How might we inspire and empower visitors to explore and experience the local community?
Project Description
The purpose of the map of Tribeca is to present the beauty of classic architecture inside the neighborhood, as well as to showcase its modern and popular environment. The map exists as a self-guided walking tour, and helps visitors spend their time in Tribeca exploring and experiencing the culture of the neighborhood.
Discover
Tribeca, originally written as TriBeCa, its name is a syllabic abbreviation of “Triangle Below Canal Street”. The neighborhood began as farmland then became residential in the early 19th century.
After the September 11 attack, to reinvigorate the neighborhood, it transitioned into a home of the Tribeca Film Festival and an arts stroll area filling up with galleries, bars and restaurants.
